I've banged on about it before, but there's something about watching the sun rise that is... special! OK, not the best word, but you get my point. My watch has this thing on it that tells me when it's 10 minutes to sunrise, and likewise sunset. It vibrates, and it's now starting to wake me before my normal alarm goes off at 6.00 each morning. And when it buzzes in my ear, or wherever my hand happens to be, it's like a reminder to a party you've not been invited to.
Unless, that is, you check the weather before hand, make the effort to get out of your bed and crash the party. And that's what I've done these past couple of mornings with just rewards. Yesterday was a notable march up Shuttlingsloe. 'March' may not fully describe my galant efforts. Trip, hobble and stumble, but determination and some would say stupidity, got me there in the end. And this morning, simply hanging out of a bedroom window. The effect was less worthy, but the vision a reminder of the beauty an early morning can offer.
