Mine was the only car in the Macc Forest car park when I arrived. It was just light, and when I returned it was still the only car there. But now the road side and grass verge were full of park cars... avoiding paying the fee. The woodland, its managed trails, incredible wildlife, toilets and everything else we come for...access for all...so many come and take, but offer nothing in return. The view from the top was magical. Immersed in the cloud. Nothing to see, yet everything was clear. Not a breath of wind, the silence was deafening and incredibly illuminating. Such clarity.
