There's advice...and advice. One of the hardest things to hear, and without doubt the least helpful of all words of wisdom people seem intent on offering is "I told you so". But often they are right, and in that sense it's also one of the hardest things not to say, after you've offered good advice with honest intent...which was seemingly ignored. It seems I may have been a little hasty in throwing out all of my running shoes yesterday. My remaining trail shoes fell apart this morning. I knew it...I told myself, angry at ignoring my own instinct.
